01 — Overview
Madina Printing is an Edmonton print shop offering business cards, flyers, banners, signage, apparel, and more. They needed a website that showcased their full product range and let customers request quotes without calling.
02 — The Challenge
No online catalog, no way for customers to browse products or request a quote without walking in or phoning. Competitors with online storefronts were capturing customers who wanted to compare products and pricing before committing.
03 — What We Did
The approach
Built an Astro-powered storefront with 116 products across 17 categories, all driven by a single TypeScript data file — easy to update, zero CMS fees.
Created a request-a-quote cart system so customers can browse products, select options, and submit a quote request without needing to call.
Added fuzzy search with synonym expansion and typo tolerance so customers can find products even with imperfect searches.
Built a mega-menu that auto-populates from the catalog, with variant image swaps on 41 products (96 variant images).

- ✓144 generated pages: 116 product pages across 17 categories, plus homepage, about, services, contact, blog, and category index pages.
- ✓A working request-a-quote cart — customers browse, add products with options, and submit. No pricing displayed per the client's preference.
- ✓Fuzzy search with synonym expansion (Damerau-Levenshtein), variant image swapping, and a responsive mega-menu.
- ✓Full SEO: JSON-LD (LocalBusiness, Product, FAQPage, BlogPosting), sitemap, Open Graph images, and three blog posts.

A local print shop that had no online presence now has a full product catalog with 116 products, a quote request system, and intelligent search — giving customers a reason to browse online instead of defaulting to Vistaprint.
