The short version
We are Edmonton based and work remotely with businesses across New Brunswick, in Moncton, Saint John, Fredericton and beyond. New Brunswick is the one province on this list where French content is worth planning for.
It is also a province where several health regulators ban discounts and free offers outright. This page covers both, plus privacy for clinic forms, and how we do SEO for New Brunswick businesses.
How we work
Working on Atlantic time
New Brunswick is on Atlantic time, a few hours ahead of us. We book calls in your morning or early afternoon so they fit your day.
Everything else runs by email and video, with a plain monthly report.
What is different in New Brunswick
Privacy for New Brunswick forms
PIPEDA covers most New Brunswick businesses. For clinics, the Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (PHIPAA) covers regulated health professionals in private practice as custodians, with oversight by the Ombud NB.
- Keep booking forms to what you need to book.
- Keep health details out of general contact forms and email.
- Know who your custodian obligations sit with if you use outside booking or form tools.
Advertising rules for New Brunswick clinics
New Brunswick regulators are strict about price promotions. Several ban discounts and free offers entirely.
-
Chiropractors
The NB Chiropractors Association standard (2021) bans guarantees, superiority, "free" or "discounted" services, coupons and specific fee information. Anything not on the permitted lists needs NBCA approval first.
-
Pharmacies
The NB College of Pharmacists bans testimonials, comparisons and endorsements, and has banned incentives since July 2022, with parking and delivery exempt. Mandatory services must say "Required by law in all New Brunswick pharmacies".
-
Massage therapists
The College of Massage Therapists of NB regulates the profession. Its Rule 7 bans testimonials, superiority claims and any reference whatsoever to a discount or free giveaway, and gift cards may only be sold as dollar amounts, never as incentives.

-
Audiologists and hearing aid sellers
RCASLPNB standards ask for truthful, verifiable advertising with no guaranteed success or superiority. Hearing aid sellers are not regulated in New Brunswick.
-
Dentists
The NB Dental Society bans superiority and "painless" claims. Patient comments are allowed with consent, and discounts only with the regular price shown equally.
What this means for our work: no sale banners, coupon codes or "first visit free" offers on New Brunswick chiropractic and massage pages, and pharmacy pages that label mandatory services the way the College requires.
French, accessibility and online sales
Private businesses in New Brunswick generally don't have to serve in both official languages unless they serve on behalf of the provincial government. About 30% of New Brunswickers have French as their first official language spoken, so French content is a smart choice in some markets. Dieppe requires bilingual new exterior commercial signs, French first, but that rule covers signs, not websites.
If French pages make sense for your market, plan them with your SEO from the start, with each page written for French searches, rather than adding a machine translation later.
The Accessibility Act (2024) has passed, but no standards bind private businesses yet. A new Consumer Protection Act received Royal Assent in June 2024 and is not yet in force, with internet sales rules coming.
