The short version

We are Edmonton based and work remotely with businesses across Saskatchewan, from Saskatoon and Regina to Prince Albert and Moose Jaw. Day to day, Saskatchewan is easy for us to work with. Its clinic advertising rules have details you won't find anywhere else.

Several Saskatchewan health regulators draw lines that other provinces don't, from where a chiropractor may show a testimonial to whether a boosted post counts as advertising. This page walks through them and shows how we build SEO around them.

How we work

Your clock and ours

Saskatchewan stays on Central Standard Time all year, and Lloydminster follows Alberta. With Alberta keeping one time all year from November 2026, our Edmonton office and most of Saskatchewan read the same clock year round.

That makes scheduling simple. Calls happen in your working day, and the monthly report lands in your inbox in plain words.

What is different in Saskatchewan

PIPEDA, HIPA and your booking form

Saskatchewan has no general private sector privacy law, so the federal PIPEDA applies to most businesses. Health information is covered by The Health Information Protection Act (HIPA), and its trustees are broader than many people expect.

  • HIPA trustees include pharmacies, licensed health professionals in private practice and, under 2023 regulations, owners of private facilities where health professionals work and licensed hearing aid dealers.
  • Those 2023 regulations require staff training, signed confidentiality pledges and a written retention policy.
  • The OIPC Saskatchewan advises sending only the minimum health information needed, protecting any health information sent by email, and getting consent before using electronic communication.
  • A booking form should ask only what's needed to book. That is how we build them.

Advertising rules for Saskatchewan clinics

Each profession answers to its own regulator, and Saskatchewan's rules on testimonials and reviews differ a lot from one to the next.

  • Chiropractors

The Chiropractors' Association of Saskatchewan allows testimonials only inside the clinic or on the clinic's own website. No superiority claims or guarantees, and gift cards, coupons and free or discounted services are prohibited. Ads must be kept for 2 years.

  • Pharmacies

Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals bylaws ban false, misleading or unverifiable claims, creating expectations of favourable results, and referring to another pharmacy's prices or services.

  • Massage therapists

Not regulated yet. The Massage Therapy Act, 2021 was not in force as of September 2026.

  • Audiologists

The College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan (CSASK) says not to solicit or publish testimonials or reviews, and bans comparative advertising, endorsements, guarantees and inducements. Registrants are responsible for ads made by marketing firms.

  • Hearing aid dealers

Licensed by the Ministry of Health under The Hearing Aid Sales and Services Act. Every ad must show the dealer's name and head office address and phone, benefits must not be exaggerated, and buyers get a 60 day trial period.

  • Dentists

The College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan bans testimonials, superlatives, comparisons and incentive programs in external advertising. The practice's own website and social profiles count as internal advertising with lighter rules, but boosted posts count as external.

What this means for our work: Saskatchewan audiology clients get no review requests from us, chiropractic testimonials stay on the clinic's own site, and every hearing aid dealer ad we touch carries the dealer's name, head office address and phone.

Online sales and accessibility in Saskatchewan

Under the Consumer Protection and Business Practices Act, the total price has to be shown with reasonable prominence. Internet sales need disclosure, a copy of the agreement within 15 days and cancellation rights.

The Accessible Saskatchewan Act currently places duties on the public sector only, and there is no French requirement for private businesses.

Listings that back up your Google profile

Your registration in the Saskatchewan corporate registry should match the name and address on your Google profile and website.

Chamber membership is another consistent listing worth having, and the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce is the provincial network.
